About the club

n 2009, the idea of founding a motorcycle club was created and implemented, which would bring together members of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic who ride motorcycles in their spare time.

The idea under the name of the club „Motospojky“ was implemented that year as well.

„Motospojka“ /DESPATCHRIDER/ – a rider who roamed the country and delivered messages between units when the country is in danger. „Motor clutches“ /DESPATCHRIDER/ operated not only locally but also internationally, and their activity was of great importance.

This is how a motorcycle club was created in the Slovak Republic, bringing together ONLY members of the Armed Forces under the name „MOTOSPOJKY“ and representing 99% of the motorcycle scene.

At that time, there was a worldwide need to fight not only organized crime but also terrorism. Rescue and other armed forces have also joined law enforcement units. The club reacted and, according to the law of the Slovak Republic, began to associate only policemen, soldiers, firefighters and rescuers who jointly enforced the law.

So other elements came to the club and the club started to use the designation LE /law enforcement/ club.

A long journey began, on which we were always open to conversation and compromise. We met a number of clubs that covered the violation of the rules of LE clubs under various lies, invented agreements, and their policy to this day is based only on slander, dictating terms and thefts, which have nothing to do with biker life. It is no different in Slovakia.

We went through the transformation of both the club emblem and its name into an English translation.

Today, the club called Despatch Riders unites ONLY members of the armed and rescue forces in active service and in retirement. A member can ONLY be a police officer, soldier, firefighter or rescuer – paramedic. No civilian.

We decided to follow the path of building respect through hard work on ourselves and promoting our club. We lived our lives, we learned and while organizing activities we met with bikers but also with members of similarly focused clubs, especially abroad.

We gradually learned that following the path of purity in the direction of the club and its membership, by showing respect for the environment and established globally recognized, immutable rules, fully reflects the word RESPECT. The famous „Give respect, you will get respect“ has gained meaning.

We realized that we are a Slovak club and respect must be shown especially in Slovakia. Another journey of gaining respect in Slovakia began, which we succeeded in doing. In this way, we are also shown respect and thus Despatch Riders LE MC Slovak Republic is a respected club not only abroad but also at home in Slovakia.

A civilian could not and cannot become our member – exactly according to the world and national rules of clubs bearing the LE designation.

This rule – without civilians – became a condition for the Slovak Republic as well.

We are proud of our club DESPATCH RIDERS LE MC because our path is paved with hard work, respect, purity of thought and respect for world and national motorcycling rules.

We are DESPATCH RIDERS, we are proud of our club, our work, our brotherhood. Our goal is not only to bring together members of the armed and rescue forces in active service and retirement, but also to represent our mission to the public with the slogan DRIVE WITH RESPECT.
